CAKES AND ICINGS - Chocolate Sauerkraut Cake

1 1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup oleo
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup water
2/3 cup rinsed & drained chopped sauerkraut

Cream sugar & oleo, add eggs & vanilla.  Beat thoroughly.  Sift dry ingredients together.  Add alternately with water.  Add sauerkraut.  Bake in 9x13" pan at 350 degrees for 30-40 mins.
